Set amongst the wild and beautiful backdrop of the Welgevonden Game Reserve, Metsi Safari Lodge offers visitors uninterrupted views of pristine, natural, safari paradise. Its indoor and outdoor design promotes a sense of comfort and relaxation synonymous with wide-open-spaces, while the lodge itself serves as the ideal setting for observing wildlife who drift in and out of view when en-route to the dam positioned below the viewing deck.
Created with privacy in mind, Metsi Safari Lodge only facilitates single group bookings at a time, providing an exclusive safari destination for intimate parties or families looking to reconnect with each other and nature in total comfort, African style. The lodge can accommodate a group booking of a maximum of ten guests, with two separate safari houses divided into two and three-bedroom units. All units boast en-suite bathrooms for luxury and convenience. Each room is equipped with a bar fridge, tea and coffee station, electric blankets as well as overhead fans and heater.
The three-bedroom unit offers a king-size double bed in the main bedroom, two king-size singles in the second room, and two single beds that can be converted into a king-size double in room three. The rooms are connected by interleading passages which make the configuration perfect when travelling with little ones.
The two-bedroom unit offers two single beds in room one and a king-size double in bedroom two.
Main Lodges facilities
On your return from a game-drive, Metsi Safari Lodge invites you to relax and celebrate the serenity of the surrounding bush by soaking up the sights and sound of nature from the large viewing deck, or while enjoying a meal on the outdoor dining terrace.
Within the main lodge, there is also an indoor dining room, spacious lounge and bar area with satellite tv and wi-fi access to enjoy on rainy days or during cooler weather. For those hot summer days, the swimming pool and deck are the perfect spots to unwind and refresh after a day’s activities and wildlife sightings.
At Metsi Lodge, there is the option to have fully catered meals or self-catering with a difference – guests are responsible for bringing all food and beverages to the lodge, that will then be prepared by the resident cook. Meals are planned by the cook and guests together, and guests can choose what time they would prefer to have each meal and in which dining area, inside or outside on the deck.
