01 — Overview
The safari lodge
Malaria-free, child-friendly, Fair Trade Certified and home to a variety of wildlife, Kololo Game Reserve is partially integrated into Welgevonden Game Reserve. Game drives to see the Big Five take place in Welgevonden while self-guided hiking and biking are possible in Kololo, which has no predators or big cats.
Accommodation is in chalets that sleep from two to six guests, and a set-menu dinner is available at the on-site restaurant on a fully inclusive basis.

9 private chalets
There are 9 chalets available at Kololo, all with different configurations depending on your party.
There are five two-sleeper chalets at Kololo. One is wheelchair friendly as it is centrally located next to the restaurant and swimming pool, both accessible via illuminated, concrete paths. Game-drive vehicles are accessed by a ramp for wheelchair users.
04 — Activities
Safari experiences
As a private concession of Welgevonden, Kololo offers Big Five game drives in the main reserve as well as activities within the concession itself. There are no predators at Kololo so, if proper precautions are taken and all safety requirements respected, it is possible to undertake self-guided nature walks and mountain-bike rides. Mountain bikes are provided by the lodge.
