The safari lodge
Nedile means ‘the place of the breeze’, a perfect summary of its enviable position on a ridge in western Welgevonden where the elevation catches cooling, gentle winds. A classic thatch lodge, Nedile merges rock, wood and organic materials to create a comfortable space dotted with touches of Africa.
Mealtimes, which fuse western and African cuisines, are an indulgence, whether taken in the elegant dining area or under the stars, around the campfire in the rock boma.

Accommodation
Nedile’s five luxury suites have been positioned perfectly between rocky outcrops on a north-facing slope, and are complemented by breath-taking views of the Waterberg Mountains. Each suite has been designed for complete privacy, relaxation and comfort. Two may be used as a family unit as they share an interleading entrance hall.

04 — Activities
Safari experiences
Morning and evening game drives, and guided bush walks are conducted by experienced guides, leading you into the wild beauty of Welgevonden Game Reserve, home to rarities such as aardvark, brown hyena and honey badger.
By nightfall, enjoy stargazing by the flickering light of lanterns out on the deck. Learn about the different constellations, from Orion and Taurus in the summer to Scorpio in the winter, with the Southern Cross as a beacon, including stories about the stars from an African perspective.
