The safari lodge

Pitse is an exclusive-use lodge, meaning just you and your friends or family will be pampered with 180° views of the savannah, sun-drenched days around the pool and nights around the crackling boma fire.

Children are welcome with babysitters available. Between game drives or nature walks, enjoy siesta time in the library (which has books and DVDs) or catch up with your own birding or game watching from the deck with the lodge’s binoculars and telescope.

Accommodation

Each of the five suites at Pitse is individually decorated and named after some of Southern Africa’s most magnificent birds. The Blue Crane, Jackal Buzzard and Fish Eagle suites are freestanding while Pied Kingfisher and Wattled Plover are interleading and suitable for those with children.

A major perk for winter and cool evenings is that all the bathrooms have underfloor heating, making for cosy spaces perfect for an evening bubble bath.

04 — Activities

Safari experiences

Game drives are conducted at your leisure. Choose a breathtaking sunrise safari to witness the break of day or a leisurely sundowner as nightfall approaches. Enjoy the constantly changing vista of passing wildlife around the lodge and witness herds of elephant, wildebeest and antelope coming to drink at the waterhole.
